THE WRITERS
David
If it was financially viable, David would be on vacation for the rest of his life starting yesterday. His confidence in his luck at the craps tables is misplaced and fortune cookies are just plain terrible at choosing winning numbers. Fortunately for him, credit cards exist!
David first heard of rewards points from his older brother, who showed him this post by Nerd Fitness. Inspired by the fiscally savvy traveler, David has since signed up for six rewards programs (read: credit cards) and has visited Madrid, Venice, Prague and London. He has made round trip flights on a whim because they cost a mere $5, and he has flown coast-to-coast first-class for $2.50.
His ultimate world-trekking goal? Find Carmen San Diego.
TravelingGoober

Goober started the frequent miler game March of 2011 when David mentioned the Nerd Fitness website, which got exploring the possibilities of cheap travel.
His first churn was the British Airways (BA) Visa with a promotion of 100k reward miles in which he used to make his first award redemption, a graduation present to himself.
Goober flew first class to Hong Kong Macau, Bangkok and Koh Samui and business class from Koh Samui to Los Angeles. His itinerary also included a non-reward excursion to Macau. The award trip consisted of 130k BA (Now Avios) miles, $700 USD in taxes and extra purchased miles (some from David). Not bad for a trip that would have set him back $13,600.
After making his dream of flying first class internationally (before retirement!), Goober is a supporter of using miles for premium class international tickets because they are an incredible experience to have. With over 500k total points accrued in just under a year, his next goal is to travel around the world in first class.
From this experience, he hopes to share this opportunity and convince friends and family that this game is completely do-able and fun!
